From the very beginning, the topic of (un)written letters has been a major part of my artistic process. I tried to document the loss of contact or the maintenance of contact with my homeland, which at the time was characterized exclusively by letters between my parents and me. Over time, I expanded my approach and began to use not only my own letters, but also letters from other artists, writers and musicians. I abstracted these and processed them on canvas.

Using these letters serves as a powerful way to share my thoughts, emotions and creative process with others and to create connections. The alteration of the letters allows me to go beyond the purely textual level and create a visual representation that reflects the depth and complexity of my artistic vision. Incorporating letters from other artists into my work creates a dialogue that goes beyond the boundaries of the purely visual.
