Armina Hatic

Armina Hatic is an artist who cannot be pigeonholed. The works such as paintings, drawings, photos and installations as well as sculptures resemble an endless playing field of art. She doesn't have to look for a topic - the topics force themselves on her.
In painting, Armina Hatic developed a technique with which she layers transparent traces of life on paper and canvas in large gestural paintings.
Using foam reliefs, she gives the painting space. But that's still not enough for her. With considerable physical effort, she also incorporates meter-high, hand-bent metal objects into her work. An effort that also exhausts her physically.
Armina Hatic is constantly finding new ways, materials and techniques to translate her view of the world and everything that surrounds her into art: critical, cheerful, often political and always convincing. Armina Hatic lives and works in Vienna.
