Carl Auböck Design stands for excellent craftsmanship, timeless aesthetics and Viennese tradition. The Wiener Werkstätte Carl Auböck is a 120-year-old, family-run company in its fifth generation. Karl Heinrich Auböck I founded a bronze goods company.

Carl Auböck II (1900 -1957) studied at the Bauhaus in Weimar and further developed the workshop with unique design in the direction of "Modernist Design".

Carl Auböck III (1924-1993) was an architect and a representative of "objective postmodernism". At the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1958, he received the gold medal for the cutlery 2060.
The workshop has gained international recognition through collaborations with renowned brands. Their distinctive designs are featured in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and legendary stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney's, Bergdorf Goodman, and Liberty.

Today, architect Carl Auböck IV (*1954) heads the family business. Since 2022, his daughter Zola Auböck has also been working in the company in the fifth generation.
