"Arrive home and enjoy the beautiful things." For over 20 years, my husband and I have been collecting art and design with great passion.

Our understanding of aesthetics and quality has deepened over time, and our demands on selection have also increased. Anyone who wants to surround themselves with beautiful things knows the problem: HOW AND WHERE do I find sophisticated art and design objects?

We asked ourselves this question around 20 years ago, after we had furnished our new apartment, but were still missing essential elements such as carpets, pictures and accessories. But it is precisely these details that make living comfortable, so we set out on the laborious search for special home accessories.

Even back then, it was very important to us not to spend money on "just any" things, but we were looking for sophisticated "eye-catchers" that we still enjoy today. In our search, we almost always chose Austrian manufacturers and designers. The exception were the carpets. We opted for kilims from Turkey and the Caucasus region.

This enthusiasm and a good and fine network of artists and designers, which has developed over the years, were decisive for the idea of ​​founding our exclusive online boutique "DESIGN FOYER".
