Collection: Lukas Etzelstorfer

At Glumpart, sustainability is not just an empty phrase - the artist Lukas Etzelstorfer transforms seemingly useless everyday objects into (utility) art. It counteracts the waste of resources by breathing new life into items that others have already thrown away at the scrapyard. He has the right eye to recognize the potential in the “junk” and the beauty in the form.

For him there is no question of using new raw materials when there is already enough material with which he can work creatively. He is completely committed to upcycling, which he did self-taught more than ten years ago, even before the term became a trend.

He had his first contact with welding machines during a joint project with his father. Working with metal, completely unplanned, immediately felt absolutely right and this material offered him the conditions he needed for his artistic work.

With his keen sense for exciting combinations and the beauty of contrasts, as well as his extensive knowledge of materials, he creates unique, long-lasting creations and thus makes a valuable contribution - both to the environment and to the world of art.
