Collection: Felix Muhrhofer

Felix Muhrhofer, born in Vienna in 1975, studied Industrial/Interior Design in his hometown at the University of Applied Arts and also in Barcelona at the ELISAVA. Immediately after completing his studies, he was able to set up his first workshop in the garage of a good friend. This first workshop gave him many opportunities to turn his ideas into reality. This enabled him to immediately check his design drafts for their feel, aesthetics and feasibility. Felix Muhrhofer continues to develop this analogue working method by learning many craft techniques, such as welding, soldering, turning, casting and stone grinding.
The result is objects and furniture that balance a strong formal sense with the economy of a handcrafted manufacturing process. His unique designs, which give great scope to the charisma of the materials used, are still made by Felix Muhrhofer himself in his workshop, which is now located on a farm near Vienna.
Muhrhofer himself collects a wide variety of stones from which the terrazzo surfaces are made at the places he travels. His ever-growing stone collection includes gravel from Africa's southernmost rock - the Cape of Good Hope - to pebbles from the Danish island of Langeland.
