Augarten Porcelain Manufactory - Vienna
300 years of Austrian cultural heritage!
Hardly anything else is as typical of Austrian craftsmanship as the porcelain from the traditional manufactory in Vienna’s Augarten.
Since the porcelain factory was founded in 1718, the Augarten, Vienna's oldest baroque park, has been the home of the fine arts. Du Paquier received the privilege of being the sole manufacturer of porcelain in Austria and the crown lands from Emperor Charles VI. In the 18th century, the white gold was still reserved for the nobility and the imperial court.
Today, as in the past, high-quality and fine porcelain is made and painted by hand in the heart of Vienna. Polishing with sea sand and agate is what makes particularly fine gold and platinum decorations shine.
This means that each piece is truly unique. The fine porcelain is often used at Austrian state receptions as place settings in the Vienna Hofburg, the residence of the Federal President.
Augarten porcelain is in great demand worldwide and highly valued among collectors.
