When you think of Austria, images of old emperors, Sissi and the picturesque Alps often come to mind. This is part of our proud history that has made our country great and strong.
But Austria is much more than its past – it is a country full of beauty, tradition, culture and inspiring people.

So why the title " Kiss the Frog Awake "?
It's simple: there is much more to discover in Austria than meets the eye. The creative corners of the country are home to real treasures that are just waiting to be discovered - and that is exactly what we have set out to do.

In my case, it's about the young, dynamic and unique designers who express their creativity in very different ways. Some are inspired by our rich culture, others use modern techniques to combine tradition and innovation.
What unites them all is the inner urge to create creative things and to maintain craftsmanship at the highest level.

Some of these designers breathe new life into almost forgotten crafts. They combine old techniques with modern designs, bringing fresh colors, shapes and patterns to paper and creating works that are unique and distinctive .

After years of collecting, my husband and I decided to present these wonderful treasures in an online shop .
The aim is to introduce Austrian designers and artists and make their works accessible to a wider audience.

It is an incredible enrichment to get to know these creative minds personally and to experience their work up close and we are constantly looking for new artists and designers to further expand our range and keep making fresh, exciting discoveries.

Ursula Futura designs beautiful glass bowls , Irene Maria Ganser creates exquisite objects made of bronze, the design artists Sheyn work with 3D printers and create interesting vases , and the renowned workshop of Carl Auböck creates design objects that can be used again and again in the home.

But these are just a few of our designers, as the list would be too long, see for yourself and browse through our shop - maybe you too will discover the next treasure that wants to be kissed awake.
