A ceramic butter dish in the shape of a Kaiser roll

The Augarten Kaiser roll is the iconic gift highlight from the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory. Handcrafted in Vienna, it is the ideal souvenir or gift, combining Austrian tradition with modern table design.

What can the Augarten Kaiser roll be used for?
The perfect gift idea
Is the Kaiser roll suitable as a typical Viennese gift?
Absolutely. The Kaiser roll is one of the most popular souvenirs from Vienna, as it humorously combines Austrian baking tradition with the highest level of craftsmanship. It is the ideal gift for occasions such as housewarming parties, weddings, or as an exclusive present for design lovers.
Give someone special joy with this original butter dish. As an unusual gift from Vienna, it is a charming surprise with an unmistakable Viennese flair.
How do I recognize original Augarten porcelain at Design Foyer?
Every piece from the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten bears the characteristic cobalt blue shield (the Austrian coat of arms) on the bottom, which is applied under the glaze. In addition, every hand-painted piece is marked with the number of the painter.

Viennese tradition in porcelain
The "Kaisersemmel" (Kaiser roll) is a popular Viennese white bread roll, the name of which can be traced back to Emperor Franz Joseph I. The Augarten Porcelain Manufactory draws on this historical connection and has created a deceptively realistic-looking porcelain dish that pays homage to this tradition. A timeless eye-catcher that combines nostalgic charm with modern elegance.
